About This MCP Connection
Teams can configure Gong as both an MCP client (pulling external context into your revenue workflows in Gong) and an MCP server (enabling Gong's revenue-specific agents to work with every other AI agent in your stack) to leverage AI-powered insights from account and deal activity.
By connecting Gong to Agentforce’s MCP client, teams can bring Gong-powered account and deal insights into Salesforce agent workflows and help Agentforce answer revenue questions, generate structured briefs, and support more informed actions without requiring teams to manually search Gong or copy-paste context between systems.

Available Tools
The Gong MCP Server exposes three read-only tools:
- ask_account: Answers natural-language questions about a single account.
- ask_deal: Answers natural-language questions about a single deal.
- generate_brief: Generates a structured, multi-category brief for an account or deal, including insights such as key themes, stakeholders, risks, and next steps.
Each tool analyzes Gong activities within a defined time range and returns AI-generated insights. The tools do not return raw transcripts, message bodies, or activity lists, and they do not create, update, or delete data.
What You Can Do with this MCP Connection
- Ask Agentforce natural-language questions about a specific account or deal and get answers grounded in Gong activity.
- Help Agentforce identify deal blockers, customer objections, stakeholder concerns, competitive mentions, and next steps.
- Generate structured account or deal briefs that summarize key themes, risks, stakeholders, and recommended follow-up.
- Use Gong as a trusted revenue intelligence source for Salesforce workflows like lead qualification, deal inspection, account planning, renewal prep, and executive reviews.
- Combine Gong insights with Salesforce context so agents can take action with a more complete understanding of the customer relationship.
