What You Can Do with this MCP Connection
Pre-call competitive context — Before a rep calls an account that's evaluating a competitor, Gong's briefer pulls from Clozd MCP to surface the top 2-3 reasons reps have lost to that competitor recently, so the rep walks in prepared.
Deal risk flagging — Gong detects deal stagnation signals and calls Clozd MCP to check if similar deals (same competitor, same segment) ended in a loss — and why — so the briefer can warn the rep proactively.
Renewal prep — Before a CS call, the briefer queries Clozd MCP for any win-loss feedback tied to that account or similar profiles, surfacing themes like "felt underserved post-sale" before the rep dials.
Post-loss debrief assist — After a deal is marked Closed Lost in Gong, the briefer pulls Clozd MCP data to show the rep how this loss compares to historical patterns — same objections, same competitor, same stage where deals tend to die.
New rep ramp — Gong's briefer uses Clozd MCP to inject relevant win-loss context into a new rep's first calls — e.g., "deals in this vertical tend to lose on implementation concerns" — turning institutional knowledge into real-time coaching.

FAQ
We're implementing OAuth as part of the MCP server launch. The OAuth service is connected to permissions in the Clozd platform, so all existing RBAC settings will apply automatically.
Currently MCP tools are set up to provide analysis within a specific program, not across multiple programs. As you test we recommend specifying the Clozd program data you're looking to access.
