About
PromptQL connects to Gong so your revenue team can stop waiting on dashboards and start asking questions directly. Query call transcripts, deal activity, tracker mentions, and engagement patterns in plain English — and get precise, code-verified answers grounded in your actual Gong data.
Unlike generic AI tools, PromptQL doesn't just summarize. It builds a plan, writes and executes code against your data, and shows you exactly how it arrived at every answer. That means fewer hallucinations and more confidence when you're making pipeline decisions, coaching reps, or identifying churn risk.
The integration works both ways. Pull Gong data into PromptQL for deep, cross-source analysis alongside your CRM, support tools, and spreadsheets. Then push structured insights — annotations, flags, and summaries — back into Gong so they appear where your team already works. Sales leaders, RevOps, customer success, and enablement teams all benefit from a shared analytical layer that learns your business context over time.
With PromptQL, your Gong data becomes something every team can explore, question, and act on — without writing a single query.

Benefits
Query call data alongside everything else
You can ask questions that span Gong recordings, CRM data, support tickets, and internal databases in a single natural language query — no switching between tools or manually correlating data.
Surface revenue insights that live in conversations
Gong captures what's actually said on calls. PromptQL lets you reason over that data programmatically — things like "which deals mentioned competitor X and are closing this quarter" without building custom reports.
Cross-reference what reps say with what the data shows
Combine Gong call outcomes with pipeline data, fulfillment metrics, or customer health scores to find gaps between what's promised on calls and what's delivered.
No pipelines, no prep
Your Gong data becomes immediately queryable through PromptQL's connector model — no ETL, no data warehouse staging, no dashboard building required.
FAQ
PromptQL provides access to your Gong data including call recordings, transcripts, conversation analytics, engagement metrics, and user information. You can query this data using natural language conversations with the AI assistant.
All Gong data is accessed on-demand via the Gong API in direct response to your queries. PromptQL does not sync, pre-fetch, or background-download your data. The AI assistant retrieves information only when you explicitly request it.
No raw Gong API data is stored. The AI assistant processes data in-memory to generate responses and artifacts (summaries, tables, charts). Only these AI-generated outputs are retained as part of your conversation history. All stored data is encrypted at rest.
In the PromptQL app, navigate to My Data in the sidebar, find Gong in the list of integrations, and click Connect. You'll be prompted to authorize PromptQL through Gong's standard OAuth flow.
Gong's API uses admin-level authentication rather than per-user OAuth. When you connect Gong to PromptQL, a tech admin authorizes the integration once for the entire PromptQL project. This means all users within that PromptQL project access Gong data through the same admin-level API credentials.
Because of this architecture, PromptQL does not enforce Gong's internal user-level call permissions. If a call is accessible via the Gong API with admin credentials, it may be queryable by any user in the PromptQL project—regardless of whether that user would have access to the call within Gong's native interface.
Access to Gong data in PromptQL is governed at the project membership level — only users explicitly invited to a PromptQL project can query the Gong integration. Additionally, project administrators can configure approval rules that require explicit user approval before specific API operations are executed. PromptQL does not perform per-user permission mapping against Gong's internal user access controls; all authorized project members share the same API access level established by the OAuth authorization.
